Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide essential support to senior woman in need of assistance with all aspects of daily living activities. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our loved one, ensuring their comfort and well-being in our home. Your commitment to compassionate patient care will make a significant difference in their life and ours.

Duties

Carry out personal care tasks for client including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation and support feeding. Administer medication and assist with basic health monitoring. Support client with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties to include sweeping, sanitizing, light mopping, laundry. Document client progress and report any changes to designated family members. Engage client in social activities and encourage participation in interests. Provide specialized dementia care.

Skills

Experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred, particularly in home care settings. Knowledge of dementia care practices essential. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with family members, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist client with physical mobility challenges. Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living environments is beneficial. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Basic understanding of patient care protocols and safety procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.50 per hour
