Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs)

Responsibilities:
Provide personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
Perform light housekeeping duties
Meal preparation
Documentation
Completes other tasks as required
Qualifications:
Students of Continuing Care Assistant Program (CCA) who are about to complete the program can apply.
Interested applicants must have a Continuing Care Assistant Provincial Certificate/PSW, be a recent graduate of a CCA program, or be a current PLAR candidate
Completion of Standard First Aid and CPR C
Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Previous related experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and clinical skills
Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance
Summary
As a Continuing Care Assistant - Casual, you will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including group homes and nursing facilities. Your core skills in caregiving, along with premium skills such as first aid and patient observation, will ensure the well-being of those you assist. You will be responsible for helping with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining a clean environment, and offering compassionate care. Strong communication skills and relevant experience in long-term care and social work will be vital in fostering positive relationships with clients and their families.
