Overview


The Contents Technician plays a vital role within the restoration industry, specializing in the cleaning, handling, and restoration of personal and commercial contents affected by fire, water, and mould damage. This position requires a meticulous and reliable individual who can manage delicate and valuable items while ensuring all restoration processes are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in restoration services and a solid understanding of industry tools, equipment, and cleaning techniques.

Key Responsibilities



Clean and restore contents affected by fire, water, and mould damage. Conduct detailed assessments of damaged contents to determine the most effective restoration methods. Perform pack-outs and pack-backs with care and accuracy. Create and manage detailed contents inventories using Contents Track software. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet quality expectations. Adhere to safety procedures and industry best practices at all times. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and processes followed.

Skills and Qualifications



Experience in the restoration industry, specifically fire restoration, water damage restoration, and mould remediation. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in restoration work. Strong knowledge of specialized cleaning techniques for a variety of materials including textiles, wood, metals, and electronics. Familiarity with construction practices related to restoration. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure quality outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
