What will you be doing!

  • Preparing and producing project documentation, such as Client Requirements Documents, Feasibility Studies, Proposals, and Business Cases, on behalf of Mission Program Office staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Editing significant technical documents before their formal issue/submission.
  • Producing or arranging for illustrations, charts, and photographs to be included in the documents, and preparing the layout of material for publication.
  • Working effectively with the ERM management team and the Change Management Lead to identify communication gaps and develop approved strategies to address them.
  • Ensuring accurate version control.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Education
  • University degree and/or college diploma in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business/Commerce, Public Relations and/or Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications environment, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to organize and distill ideas for target audiences, to produce clear and succinct reports and procedures, to deliver dynamic presentations, and to form and nurture relationships with staff, peers, customers and stakeholders.
  • Must be a good listener.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the company's practices, policies, and procedures - especially those directly related to document creation, review, and management.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and to form and nurture relationships with staff members, management peers, senior management, clients, suppliers, and key contacts in service and oversight functions. Must be able to nurture and maintain good working relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of functional processes related to document management (e.g. engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, graphic software packages, desktop publishing tools, and project management applications.
  • Strong planning and priority management skills. Able to manage high volumes of documentation within an allowable timeframe, delegate responsibilities, and hold others accountable for results.
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and in cross-functional teams.
  • Effective problem-solver with a results-oriented approach and an ability to motivate others.
  • Knowledge of the Document Lifecycle
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Location:
