Position Summary:

Are you deeply passionate about digital marketing? We invite you to join Great Canadian\'s Digital Marketing team as our Content Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our brand\'s digital presence across various platforms. Collaborating with the Great Canadian\'s National Marketing Team, you will directly report to the Manager of Digital Marketing. Your role will be pivotal in sculpting and refining the digital voice of our brand across various platforms. Working synergistically with provincial marketing teams, you will be entrusted to fine-tune and elevate the digital persona and visibility of our brand.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Write effective and compelling copy across a range of channels, including web, email, search, blog posts, and social media.
  • Create and schedule social posts while meeting social calendar deadlines and expectations.
  • Post casino and hotel promotions online in a timely manner.
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization. Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success.
  • Deliver timely reporting on website and social media metrics and KPIs; Analyze data to identify challenges, opportunities, and present actionable insights.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors to execute online campaigns for various Great Canadian Entertainment destinations.
  • Create educational resources and provide training to marketing teams on utilizing website functionalities, as well as online review and social media management tools.
  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders to deliver solutions for digital marketing needs.
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Flexibility with other duties as assigned by Manager, Digital Marketing.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Digital Marketing university degree or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with WordPress, social media, and email marketing.
  • Basic HTML coding experience, an asset.
  • Understating mobile-responsive and adaptive design.
  • A creative mind set with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritizes and organizes tasks. Handles distractions well. Great focus and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends and the ability to incorporate best practices and tech advances on the website, email, and social space.
  • Understanding of Canada\'s anti-spam legislation and Web Accessibility Standards.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Casual travel between Great Canadian Entertainment destinations will be required at times.
  • The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
  • Additional qualifications in web design or animation, an asset.
  • Ability to speak and write in French or Simplified Chinese, an asset.
