Overview

We're Natura Soylights -- a Canadian candle and home fragrance company based in Okotoks, AB. For over 20 years, we've created hand-poured soy candles and natural lifestyle products using pure, plant-based ingredients.

We're looking for a creative, organized, and coachable

Content & Marketing Assistant

to help us share our story across social media, email, and other marketing platforms. This is a great opportunity for a high school or post-secondary student, or a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on marketing experience in a small, supportive business environment.

Duties

Create and edit short-form video content and photos for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms Assist with designing visuals and writing captions or short-form copy Help with email setup and design using tools like Klaviyo (training provided) Support updates to our Shopify website or marketing apps as needed Maintain a content calendar to keep marketing projects on track Participate in creative brainstorming and seasonal campaign planning Learn to interpret simple marketing data (email open rates, post performance, etc.) Take feedback openly and pivot quickly when direction or priorities change
Requirements

Interest in marketing, communications, or digital media (student or entry-level welcome) Some experience with Canva, CapCut, Figama or similar design tools Strong communication skills and an eye for detail Comfortable learning new apps or tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, social schedulers) Organized, dependable, and accountable for completing tasks

Coachable, open to feedback, and able to pivot when things change

Bonus: experience with photography, short videos, or managing a social media account
