Your role

Your mission as Content Manager is to bring Mordu\xe2\x80\x99s editorial and strategic vision to life across our digital and social platforms, while leading the team to new and unexpected heights. How? By coming up with unique story angles, engaging written and video content, a distinctive voice on social media and an inspired and inspiring approach to management.

Your primary responsibilities:

Management:

  • Determine Mordu\xe2\x80\x99s objectives and overall strategy with the leadership team.
  • Present content priorities and performance to senior management.
  • Manage the team (written, video and social content) as well as relationships with partners and contributors.
  • Approach freelancers, negotiate contracts and oversee production (producer, researcher, motion designer, etc.).
Content:
  • Determine strategic content priorities.
  • Conduct long-term planning of the production schedule.
  • Determine the main content themes.
  • Hold creative sessions and steering meetings.
  • Provide high-level approval of story ideas and angles for written content.
  • Lead and support video production.
  • Provide editorial oversight with outside production companies.
  • Assist community managers in producing content for social media and the newsletter (graphics, memes, new formats).
  • Guide the visual identity of our content (articles, features, social media) with the design team.
  • Lead the production of creative media projects and come up with innovative ideas.
Contributors and Partners:
  • Suggest contributors and partners that align with the overall strategy.
  • Implement partnerships.
  • Define projects, and monitor and guide the production of written or video content.
  • Work with other Radio-Canada content departments (L\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9picerie, La semaine verte, OHdio, regions, etc.).
  • Work with our partners both internally (Communications and Marketing, Public Relations, etc.) and externally to maximize the reach of our content.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

\xe2\x97\x8f At least seven years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a supervisory role in the digital industry.

\xe2\x97\x8f University degree or college diploma in communications, journalism or a related field.

\xe2\x97\x8f Passion for digital media and curiosity for emerging technologies.

\xe2\x97\x8f Publishing expertise (text and video) with a strong focus on SEO and content performance monitoring;

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with co-creation methods.

\xe2\x97\x8f Deep knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest).

\xe2\x97\x8f Keen interest in the culinary scene and industry news as well as in the restaurant business and cooking in general.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent spoken and written French; English an asset to promote collaboration with bilingual teams.
