About the Role
We're seeking a creative
Content Creator
to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all aspects of our social media presence and create various types of content/media to be used in marketing initiatives. Many of the assets you will be creating will be static graphics and videos. Along with regular social media posting, we run social media ad campaigns, which you will create the media for. We're also consistently updating our website and will require graphics and how-to videos to be created on-demand. We hope for you to grow in this role into a Junior Marketer, where we will teach you to design promotional emails, design & manage paid ads, write & create blog posts, improve our website's SEO and more!
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about content creation and is eager to grow their understanding of business and marketing strategies. We're a team that is eager to help and teach you along the way, but we're looking for someone who knows graphic design, video creation, and social media trends already. Responsibilities:
Manage multiple social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and more
Respond to customer inquiries and collaborate with the customer experience team to assist customers via DMs
Create, schedule, and post engaging content regularly, ensuring alignment with brand strategy
Publicly interact with customers and other brands to build relationships and increase brand visibility
Lead the design and creation of media assets for various platforms and uses
Develop and execute social media strategies in collaboration with the marketing team
Understand digital analytics to adapt and improve on content strategy
Generate quarterly social media analytics reports and routinely present strategy outcomes
Stay updated on social media trends, adapting strategies and content to capitalize on them
Innovate and propose new social media and advertisement ideas to enhance engagement
Perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

& Culture
This role is mainly work-from-home. We're in the midst of transitioning to a new office space in North Waterloo (the old Black Berry buildings) and should be moved-in by December. Some team members work in-office once per week (but is not required). You're welcome to work from the office and use the office's amenities as much as you would like. The team gets together for monthly lunches, often at nearby restaurants, sometimes ordered-in. Dress code for the office and work outings is casual.

40 hours per week - Full-time
Our team generally works 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, but you can work flexible hours when needed. You're expected to be available and respond to communications during regular business hours, but if you would like to occasionally perform your role outside normal hours in exchange for a late start to the morning or finishing early, that's ok.
