We are looking for a Content Creator and Marketing Designer to join our positive, outgoing, and friendly Outback Team. This is a part time, seasonal role, with the option to extend to year round for the right fit. Our community of guides, office staff, drivers, kaykers, and management team are dedicated, hardworking, and passionate individuals who strive to provide the best experience to each and every guest. The Outback team has fun at work and outside of work! Our seasonal rafting crew enjoys afterwork BBQ's, Volleyball and Frolf nights, and participating in other outdoor recreation activities (Bungee jumping,flightseeing, ziplining). Those we employ all share the same sense of welcomeness and eagerness to share their passions and make new friends.
We are looking for applicants who are motivative, creative, and organized and who have a background in social media marketing and management. This roles primary focus will be on content creation and growing our social media presence with secondary responsibilities in reservations and guest services.
Our marketing team is the face and brand of our company. We are looking for individuals who share the same desires, attitudes, and goals and are able to reflect that in our branding.
Canadian Outback Rafting Company (Squamish, BC) has been operating since 1992. Our objective is to make adventure more accessible to those wishing to explore the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Our mission is to provide fun, unique, outdoor experiences for those of all levels of comfort, skill, and ability. We believe that the desire for adventure can be tapped with just one incredible experience.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Publish monthly newsletters
Create and edit photo and video content (reels etc)
Manage multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok)
Take initiative in creating partnership opportunities
Create advertisement graphics
Creating and managing a database of new media content
Organizing contests and giveaways
Qualifications:
Degree or relevant experience in Social Media management and marketing
Knowledge and experience with photo and video editing
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Outgoing, confident, and fun personality with strong people skills
Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
Ability to multi task and maintain a strong attention to detail
Familiar with Wordpress and Lightroom
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
