JR Action Inc. is a growing logistics and transportation company specializing in container movement across ports, rail yards, and client sites. We are currently looking for a

Container Dispatcher

to join our team and manage the day-to-day coordination of container shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch container trucks to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Coordinate with drivers, customers, and terminal/port personnel to manage container movements. Track container statuses, chassis availability, and appointment windows. Maintain accurate records of shipments, dispatch logs, and communication notes. Monitor driver routes, troubleshoot issues, and provide support as needed. Ensure compliance with safety, port, and transportation regulations. Communicate any delays or service changes to internal teams and clients. Update dispatch and transportation software in real time.

Qualifications

Previous experience

in container dispatching, logistics, or trucking operations in Nova Scotia (preferred). Strong knowledge of

port/rail operations

, container codes, and chassis logistics. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage time-sensitive requests. Familiarity with dispatching software (e.g., TruckMate, McLeod, or similar systems) is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

Pay: $37,193.39-$94,290.22 per year
