About Our Opportunity
As the Consultation Coordinator reporting to the Director of Mi\'kmaw Relations, you play a central coordination and file management role for Department consultations with the Mi\'kmaq of Nova Scotia. You work closely with Department of Natural Resources and Renewables staff, the Office of L\'nu Affairs and other provincial and federal departments, and the Mi\'kmaq to support the Department in implementing the corporate approach to consultation as outlined in the Government of Nova Scotia Policy and Guidelines: Consultation with the Mi\'kmaq of Nova Scotia.
You will also conduct research and analysis and develop policy advice on Aboriginal economic, social, cultural, and environmental interests in natural resources related matters, support Branches and Divisions in consultation and engagement efforts with the Mi\'kmaq of Nova Scotia, and act with others in the Department to advance the relationship with the Aboriginal community.
