Make an impact with our Public Sector Consulting team in British Columbia as a Consultant. This diverse team of professionals understands government along with non-profit agencies, develops strategic plans that are innovative as much as engagement driven; reviews programs and services to ensure needs are met in the best of ways; helps inform policy so our clients are supported in making strategic decisions; and aids in demonstrating results, showing achievements and accountability.

Our clients include various Provincial government ministries and agencies, Yukon and Northwest territorial governments, municipalities and Regional Districts, First Nations, and non-profit organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the proposal, planning and implementation of consulting engagements across public sector consulting projects.
  • Support the research, collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Contribute to policy analyses, strategic planning, program evaluation, operation reviews, facilitated consultations and other forms of consulting.
  • Coordinate project logistics with clients and other stake (rights) holders consistent with project plans.
  • Help deliver formal presentations and reports for client engagements.
  • Develop positive working relationships with clients at the peer and management level.
  • Support the delivery of high-level client service to ensure needs are responded to in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Support the design, development, formatting and proof reading of high-quality professional reports, proposals, engagement letters and correspondence.
  • Coordinate workflow and perform tasks related to proposal creation, production, and delivery.
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle, and high standard of team wellness.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP\xe2\x80\x99s services, clients, and capabilities.
  • Help raise awareness of MNP at community events.
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop you consulting knowledge.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, primarily within British Columbia, to support in-person stake/rightsholder engagement activities.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in public administration, political science, business economics, law, social geography, or other related fields in required.
  • Graduate degree in public administration, public policy or a related field is preferred and 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience or other combination of advanced post-secondary training and relevant professional experience is required.
  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative research and analysis is required.
  • Experience writing reports, briefing materials and/or proposals is required.
  • Experience conducting stake/rightsholder engagement, or similar research, in virtual and/or in-person settings is preferred.
  • Experience with and understanding of Indigenous reconciliation is an asset.
  • Experience working in a public sector environment (government or government agencies) or consulting for public sector clients is considered an asset.
  • Experience or training in project management is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a in a fast-paced environment.
