Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) is currently looking for a communications professional to play a key role in our Dealer-Delivered Digital Connected Retail Journey--bringing clarity, excitement, and alignment to our customers, Dealers, and internal teams across the Toyota and Lexus brands.
This 12-month contract opportunity will report to the Manager, Business Innovation and plays a key part in shaping how we communicate transformation across our ecosystem.

What You'll be Doing:
Strategic Communications & Storytelling
Championing the Business Innovation vision through communications, bringing it to life across internal and external audiences
Crafting and managing a core narrative that spans multiple channels, such as websites, newsletters, videos, and presentations
Acting as the main point of contact for messaging and strategy related to innovation within Toyota Canada, providing guidance for both Dealers and internal stakeholders
Collaborating with cross-functional teams from across the enterprise to align messaging and amplify impact
Developing Dealer-facing communications that strengthen existing relationships, build confidence, and support timely decision-making
Proactively identifying opportunities to showcase Business Innovations through speaking engagements and enterprise-wide storytelling, where required
Engagement Planning & Communications Support
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of quarterly Dealer Subcommittee events, coordinating across the various contributing teams to develop clear goals and outcomes that are delivered through concise and engaging pre-reads and day of content
Develop and effectively manage the department's communication calendar, proactively preparing content for various internal and external engagements
Coordinate consistent messaging across all communication activities to internal (TCI) Management and Executives
Serve as main point of contact to Dealer Committee support staff to maintain strong working relationships with key external partners
Support adjacent CX team communications as needed to ensure continuity and alignment across all messaging efforts.
Team Management and Operations
Provide communications leadership and counsel to the Business Innovation team, ensuring a consistent standard for all communications
Remain informed on industry best practices and innovation in retail/automotive
Control departmental processes to efficiently plan and execute projects (inputs and approvals)
Oversee departmental budgeting and planning activities
Develop departmental guides to ensure clear understanding and adherence to procedures and processes, maximizing resources and producing results
What You'll Bring:
A post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field
3+ years of marketing/communications experience; ideally in a corporate environment
Excellent story-telling skills with an ability to simplify concepts and tailor messaging for specific audiences; a knack for getting people to listen and act
Ability to build trust and confidence towards specified outcomes
Advanced planning and organizational skills (project/program and change management)
Deadline-driven with an intimate understanding of the responsibilities, timelines and requirements
Experience with digital communication technology (websites, social media) an asset
Extremely strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the enterprise
Strong research, editing and proof-reading skills
Ability to travel occasionally (mainly within Canada), if required
French language skills (written and verbal) are an asset
