Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and coffee based items. Your expertise in customer service and food/drink handling will ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. training staff in all aspects of drink creation. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring that all items meet quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Uphold food safety practices throughout all aspects of food service.

Qualifications

Must have previous barista experience as well as experience in the food industry. Must be able to create a drink syllabus. Must be able to create and cost a coffee/cafe menu. Must be able to create a drink and beverage crib sheet. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
