We are currently looking for a Construction Warranty Technician to join our growing team! The Tricar Group is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Warranty Team in Guelph, ON. The position is a full-time, salaried position and reports directly to the Warranty Manager. The Warranty Technician role services new homes and performs a variety of light repairs in occupied homes under the new home warranty process. This role works directly with homeowners and is pivotal in maintaining Tricar\xe2\x80\x99s excellent standing with both our homeowners and Tarion. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include: \xc2\xb7 Review and complete Tarion 30 Day, 1 Year & 2 Year service reports as scheduled by the Warranty Co-Ordinator \xc2\xb7 Provide detailed updates on BuilderLynx software and communicate back to Warranty Co-ordinator status updates, photos and next steps. \xc2\xb7 Schedule trades for warranted service work as requested \xc2\xb7 Prepare materials required and plan service work prior to visiting homeowners\xe2\x80\x99 units; \xc2\xb7 Educate homeowners on condominium living and maintenance stratigies \xc2\xb7 Perform \xe2\x80\x98hands-on\xe2\x80\x99 repairs \xe2\x80\x93 high quality workmanship at a productive and efficient pace; with minimal disruption to the homeowner. \xc2\xb7 Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to an expectational home buying experience \xc2\xb7 Provide feedback to management regarding quality issues and areas where improvements can be made in the construction finishing process \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting The Construction Warranty Technician will have experience in the following areas: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 1-2 years experience in single family home/ high rise residential construction \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Tarion Warranty Program an asset \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 verbal and written; ability to explain procedures and warranty guidelines/rulings \xc2\xb7 Strong customer service skills \xe2\x80\x93 professional presentation, reliable, accountable with good conflict resolution abilities \xc2\xb7 Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades functions such as carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. is a requirement, as is knowledge of various tools and equipment \xc2\xb7 Comfortable in the use of technology \xe2\x80\x93 smartphones, tablets or computers to record, review and communicate information related to deficiency lists \xc2\xb7 Flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel daily to buildings under warranty as organized by the Warranty Co-ordinator \xc2\xb7 Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, regular access to a vehicle and provide own tools Background Check: As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must submit a CRIMINAL RECORD AND JUDICIAL MATTERS CHECK (CRJMC) from their local police service for approval by Tricar.
