Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage New Home construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard management tools, and local connection with the municipal building division. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Superintendent will coordinate with various teams, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution while maintaining safety and compliance.

Duties



Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, budgets and safety protocols Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure efficient workflow Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project planning, tracking, and documentation Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets specified standards and codes Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling expenses, and assisting with construction estimating as needed Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools to ensure timely completion Communicate effectively with Construction Manager, clients, architects, engineers, and team members regarding project progress and issues Enforce safety regulations on-site to promote a safe working environment for all personnel Daily and weekly reporting to Construction Management team on progress Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and potential risks or delays

Requirements



Proven experience supervising construction projects with a strong background in construction management Proficiency with industry-standard software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other construction management tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations in the construction industry Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective leadership skills with experience supervising diverse teams of workers and subcontractors Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction projects Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders at all levels Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or related fields are preferred
