Position Overview





We are looking for an experienced, hands-on

Construction Superintendent

to join our team to lead and oversee a variety of local and provincial construction projects. This role requires a dedicated leader who is equally comfortable managing teams and timelines as they are rolling up their sleeves to keep schedules on track.


Key Responsibilities:




Supervise and coordinate all on-site trades and construction processes Supervise a team of 1 - 5 employees on site Enforce Health & Safety policies and procedures on site Act as a liaison with owners' representatives, consultants, and authorities Prepare production reports and perform daily logs, including photos, via Buildertrend Coordinate and schedule activities and project milestones Train or arrange training, orientations, JHA's, and safety reports Read and interpret blueprints, OBC and NFPA codes Estimate project costs and materials Create material/equipment lists and submit to Construction Management for ordering Requisition materials, equipment, and supplies Coordinate with internal teams including Property Managers and Construction Managers Required to work on tools as needed to maintain project momentum

Qualifications:




5+ years of residential construction experience, ideally in n home building and structural renovations Broad knowledge across all areas of the construction industry Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and in-house trades Experience managing teams of 1-5 employees on-site, including task scheduling and project tracking (Buildertrend and email proficient) Must have a strong understanding of construction drawings and project specifications Skilled in implementing and monitoring safety practices, with accurate documentation and compliance. Experience with scanning, coring, and layout is an asset Comfortable using construction software and technology efficiently. Capable of working independently with daily progress reporting. ICI interior fit-up/fixturing experience is a bonus Buildertrend software experience preferred

Requirements:




Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, preferably a truck, work van, or SUV Trade certification is an asset. Must own and be proficient with hand tools, basic power tools, and personal safety equipment. WHMIS, Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, CPR/First Aid Basics of Supervision Certification
