Westdell Development Corp., a Canadian retail commercial and residential development and management company with a growing portfolio of 40 + retail properties and 15 + residential and mixed-use commercial-residential projects under development. The Company is supported by in-house asset and property management, Construction, financial, leasing and development teams.

We're growing!! And looking for a passionate, driven, and energetic candidate to join our WCM construction management team ( The Construction Arm of Westdell ) as a Construction Superintendent.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled

Site Superintendent

to manage field operations on

residential high-rise and commercial construction projects

. The ideal candidate will bring at least

15 years of site supervision experience

with a strong background in concrete structures, structural steel, civil works, MEP systems, and finishing trades. This leadership role demands exceptional technical expertise, planning ability, and communication skills to deliver projects

safely, on time, and on budget

.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and

manage all site activities for residential high-rise and commercial projects

, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and schedules.

Lead

, coordinate, and supervise trades, subcontractors, and labor to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Review and interpret construction drawings

and specifications, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, ensuring all work is properly integrated and sequenced.

Identify potential issues

early and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) to resolve design or coordination conflicts before they affect schedule or cost. Maintain, monitor, and

update the project schedule

using Project Management software like

Procore

and other scheduling tools. Coordinate MEP installations with structural and architectural works to prevent clashes and delays. Conduct daily site meetings, toolbox talks, and progress briefings. Enforce strict compliance with

health, safety, and environmental regulations

. Ensure proper use and safe operation of construction equipment on-site, and train or direct staff as required.

Prepare and maintain site documentation

, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress photos. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure smooth communication between field and office teams. Promote a positive and professional work environment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 15 years

of experience as a Site Superintendent or Site Supervisor, with a focus on

residential high-rise and commercial projects

. In-depth technical expertise in

concrete, steel, civil works, MEP coordination, and finishing trades

. Proven ability to manage construction sequencing, scheduling, and on-site coordination.

Proficiency in construction drawings reading, and construction processes.

Good knowledge and ability to use

Procore

and other project management software. Strong

problem-solving skills

, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving site issues. Ability to safely operate or direct the operation of construction equipment and tools. Excellent

leadership and team management skills

, with the ability to motivate trades and workers.

Strong communication and documentation skills

, both verbal and written. Commitment to workplace health and safety practices and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
