To lead the on-site execution of residential construction projects, ensuring that homes are built on schedule, within budget, to quality standards and with a focus on safety and client satisfaction.
The
Site Supervisor
is primarily responsible for all aspects of construction on jobsites
from start to finish. The Site Supervisor manages all trades and suppliers to ensure the
work is being completed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Safety Management
Quality control & inspections
Problem solving & decision making
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and overseeing all work on each designated jobsite
Review all plans and specifications and provide input promoting the most efficient ways of construction.
Scheduling projects from start to finish and ensuring adherence to it.
Resolve and mitigate any issues that may arise during construction
Manage trade lists by providing feedback of current trades and helping to find new trades when required.
Review and approve invoices submitted for work completed.
Placing orders for materials, supplies and equipment.
Taking responsibility for equipment and materials on site.
Following the project, timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures in the residential construction industry.
Proficiency in the practical application of carpentry principles, techniques, and procedures.
Able to read and interpret building specifications, construction plans/drawings, and as-built documents.
In-depth knowledge of building systems, materials, and components.
Total management of each build to ensure the project is completed on schedule and on budget, to all specifications and requirements.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with trades, suppliers, and other members of the team.
Effective time management skills
Highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
First Aid Certification
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in residential construction/project management
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract
Working Conditions:
Mostly working on sites, occasional requirements to work in main office
Travel to various sites, including but not limited to Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, Devon, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (ie: hard hat, safety boots, etc.)
Additional hazards associated with the construction industry.
