Position Description
The Superintendent will oversee all activities on site, such as:
Supervising & coordinating employees, sub-trades, and suppliers: monitor work progress to ensure efficiency of employees and subcontractors
Implementing and ensuring adherence to the company's worksite safety program
Implementing and ensuring adherence to the company's ISO 9001 quality control program
Ordering materials and equipment: ensure all materials and equipment are available when they are needed so as to satisfy the project schedule
Advising project manager and senior management on issues that could affect the project quality, schedule and actively participating in finding solutions
Performing any additional work as requested by the project manager or senior management in order to ensure successful project completion
Position Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry
2 years minimum is preferred
Ability to read and understand project documentation, including specifications and project drawings
Scheduling of all on-site activity with subcontractors and suppliers to effectively manage each project
Verify / document daily onsite worker count, man hours, and materials and rental equipment.
Ability to prioritize required tasks on a day-to-day basis
Ability to navigate basic computer programs, email and construction applications such as MS Project, Procore & Fieldwire
