We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for building and construction. This role involves assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The Construction Laborer will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field.
Perform
Construction Site Superintendent
including:
Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, subcontractors, and workers.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality control.
Resolve on-site issues and conflicts efficiently.
Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation.
Order materials and schedule equipment deliveries as needed.
Enforce site rules and ensure team adherence to company policies.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Helping with window and door removal/installation.
Carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and safety fence installation..
Material handling and moving supplies around the job site.
Operate power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
Other miscellaneous construction and repair work as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role in construction.
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and codes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficient with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
OSHA or equivalent safety certification (depending on location).
High school diploma required; post-secondary education in construction management is a plus.
Previous experience in construction, renovation, or general labor is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, and site maintenance is an asset.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Valid driver's license with own vehicle.
