About Our Client
Our Toronto based client is looking for a sales minded, subject matter expert in Construction, and construction systems technology. This will be a 10-month contract opportunity in which you will be partnering with the industrya??s top companies and professionals, in order to update critical infrastructure. You will drive economic growth through the development of technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), autonomous equipment, IoT-enabled safety and monitoring solutions, and cybersecurity for construction systems.
Responsibilities

  • Through virtual and in person meetings with clients, you will provide technical and business expertise in construction technologies and related use cases, including but not limited to, Building Information Modeling (BIM), autonomous equipment, IoT-enabled safety and monitoring solutions, and cybersecurity for construction systems.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends in the construction sector.
  • Develop and maintain a network of clients in the industry
  • Pursue clients in order to become the go-to construction market expert.
  • Map, develop, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities by identifying and engaging with entrepreneurs, small medium enterprises, multinational enterprises, industry associations, academic institutions, venture capitalists, trade commissioners, and other stakeholders.
  • Expand your network by participating in events, business associations, technical committees, and professional organizations within the construction industry.
  • Provide critical technical and business proposals review.
  • Monitor market requirements to inform program evolution.
  • Take a leadership role in the planning and execution of identified strategic national and international accounts
Requirements
  • A proven track record in sales, inside sales, or customer service in the construction industry.
  • Some understanding of the business and technology of construction.
  • Network of relevant stakeholders [e.g., Industry, Academia, Government, Economic Development, Venture Capital, Innovation Ecosystem etc.].
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and communications skills, including the ability to understand complex technology/science and convey it in simple terms, verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable speaking at public events.
  • Conversant in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrate combination of business acumen and technical breadth.
  • Experience creating and/or reviewing competitive RFQs.
