Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment across all operations. This position involves assessing safety risks, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Safety Specialist will collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety and health within the organization.

Responsibilities



Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards. Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with management to develop safety programs that enhance workplace safety. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports. Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety. Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics and build comprehensive reports.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in a safety role within the construction or manufacturing industry is an advantage. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant health and safety standards. Familiarity with construction management software is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential hazards. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CHST) is a plus.
