We are a small but growing forming company seeking a

dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Officer (CSO)

to join our team

. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites by monitoring compliance, leading safety initiatives, and supporting our crews in daily operations. This is an on-site role, starting

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with local and provincial regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Provide on-site support to forming crews, ensuring safe practices are followed. Install and fix handrails, ladders, and temporary access points/platforms. Work closely with the General CSO and project managers. Complete all required safety paperwork and documentation. Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions. Promote and reinforce a culture of safety and accountability across the team. Participate in light carpentry/labour work as needed. Possible Saturday shifts and overtime available.

Requirements:

Valid OFA Level 2 or 3 certification (mandatory).

Minimum

1 year of experience

in a construction safety role. Proficiency in safety documentation and basic construction tools. Strong understanding of WCB and WSP safety standards. Ability to work independently and be on-site daily. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: $30-$40/hour
