RECRUITER
Civil Construction | Utilities | Municipal Services
Scarborough, ON - In-Office
Full-time, Permanent
$60-$75K based on experience, + benefits +RRSP match
Our client is looking for an experienced, highly motivated recruiter with excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for full cycle recruitment, facilitating orientation, maintain the ATS system, hosting career events, training and attendance management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Completion of post-secondary degree
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a recruiter, focused in the civil construction industry sector
• Experienced working within a blended environment - union and non-union
• Advanced knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and other applicable legislation
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) considered an asset
• High degree of confidentiality, discretion and judgment required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full cycle recruitment for union and non-union roles
• Onboarding and Offboarding
• Maintaining employee database
• Facilitating new worker orientation sessions
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing human resources policies and procedures in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and other relevant legislation
• Maintains employee benefit programs and informs employees of benefits
• Recruit qualified candidates in accordance with applicable legislative requirements via job postings on various internal and external boards
• Screen applicants by carefully matching experience, education and qualifications to the job criteria as well as arranging video, phone and in-person interviews
• Ensure that all employee files have the most current information and training documentation by ensuring all employee databases and spreadsheets are cohesive
• Actively participate in the review of job descriptions
• Support departmental managers with various projects and assignments on an as needed basis
