Position: Construction Project Manager - Legal Claims
Location: Montreal
Salary: $130K to $160K based on experience

A very highly respected and industry leading consulting firm providing engineering, scientific and technical expertise is seeking a trusted advisor to consult on complex construction projects requiring expert insight.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with strong experience in construction project management to participate on a construction advisory team for claims. The role offers the interesting opportunity to gain access to high-profile and diverse projects.
The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a wide array of construction project management expertise but have a good knowledge of construction scheduling, analysis and schedule audit and review and be a strategic and critical thinker.
Here is an overview of what the role entails:
- Investigating and compiling information
- Preparing and monitoring files
- Drafting expert reports and complaints
- Performing calculation of damages
- Preparing schedule analysis
- Planning and distributing tasks assigned to the project team
- Participating in client meeting conference calls and occasional site visits
- Participating in trials and negotiations

Qualifications:

- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in construction project management with construction sites general contractors and subcontractors
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in project scheduling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to support clients locally and abroad
- Engineering degree within a related discipline is required (civil, mechanical or related)
- PMP or education in project management is an asset
- MS Office skills (Word et Excel) Microsoft Project, knowledge of AutoCAD or design software is an asset
