Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of construction and restoration processes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements Perform restoration work on existing structures, including surface repairs and finishing touches Use hand tools such as scrapers, sanders, and caulking guns to complete detailed work Operate rigging and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans Ability to operate power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques including caulking and sanding Skilled in the use of rigging equipment for elevated work areas Background in carpentry or related trades is a plus Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed Prior experience in restoration projects is desirable Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights safely

Pay: $19.34-$37.23 per hour
