Job Description

We're looking for a Construction Manager in the residential and mixed-use development industry.
Our client is an established and fast-growing real estate development firm based in Winnipeg. With multiple residential and commercial projects in the pipeline, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard. This is a key role within a company poised for significant growth.
Construction Manager responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across active construction sites
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce health and safety protocols
  • Review blueprints and technical documents to guide construction execution
  • Identify and resolve delays or issues impacting timelines or budgets
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align construction with design and financial goals
  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with permit and inspection processes
  • Recruit, train, and lead site supervisors and junior staff
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years of experience in a site supervisor role, ideally within residential or mixed-use development
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing teams and timelines
  • In-depth knowledge of Manitoba construction standards, codes, and permitting processes
  • Proficiency in construction management software
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
  • Vehicle allowance and comprehensive benefits package
