CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

We are seeking a career-minded, self-starting individual to work as a Construction Manager on special projects related to land development. This position requires a very motivated person who possesses a strong work ethic and who can manage multiple overlapping priorities. The person we're seeking will have an excellent ability to manage details, communicate internally and externally, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

The Construction Manager (CM) oversees owner's projects through design & feasibility, permitting, tendering, and execution stages.

During the pre-construction phase, the CM is responsible for developing project requirements & scopes of work, generating requests for proposals, procuring permits, coordinating design consultants, reviewing design drawings, developing contracting strategy, preparing tenders, procuring quotes, and developing schedules and budgets.

During execution stage, the CM is responsible to manage contractors and consultants, to track project budgets and schedules, to approve contractor communications such as daily tickets or change requests, and to manage project closeouts.

The successful candidate will:

Have 10+ years experience in the construction industry, with experience managing consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Have a proven ability to manage budgets and schedules

Be able to read construction drawings, documents and reports

Be skilled in various software including MS Project, Excel, Word, & Outlook. Experience with AutoCAD or Sketch-Up is beneficial

Be a professional communicator, be highly organized and enjoy handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
