Role: Construction Manager, Industrial Location: Country Canada Wide Reporting to the respective site Project Manager, the duties of the Construction Manager will include:

  • Ensure plans and schedules have been optimized and integrated by incorporating building trade, Corporate and industry best practices;
  • Provide subject matter expertise for planning and scheduling construction projects;
  • Management and oversight of subcontractor work scopes and installation;
  • Organization and preparation of labour resource requests;
  • Review, recommend and implement consistent application of site processes, standards and procedures across all projects, including collection and processing of lessons learned and best practices;
  • Supervise the Superintendent teams and the respective trades crews;
  • Ensure production within the field is being met through daily walk downs and engagement;
  • Discuss and assist with any construction challenges that come up within installation;
  • Above all else, promote safety to all within the field and on site
The successful candidate will bring the following:
  • 15+ years construction management experience required;
  • Past experience leading multi-million project scopes, preferrable in an industrial environment;
  • Experience working and motivating staff and trades teams;
  • Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays;
  • Possess verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Knowledge of design build and other alternative build techniques;
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred;
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
There is an expectation to work extended work schedules, which includes holidays and weekends. Travel away from home will be required. Preferred candidates will be open to travel and construction project work and be on a defined rotation work schedule. Competitive living out allowance will be provided.
