We have secured an exciting long term project that requires a Construction Manager to join out Civil Earthworks Team.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Civil Construction Manager

to oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction projects from planning through to completion. This position will begin as a

full-time, office-based role in Saskatoon

focused on project planning, coordination, and pre-construction activities. Once the project mobilizes to site, the schedule will transition to a

2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation

.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key leadership role--coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining strong communication with clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and manage all civil construction activities on-site. Lead project teams to ensure efficient execution and delivery of project milestones. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards. Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour to meet project requirements. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work aligns with scope and specifications. Prepare and submit project progress reports and documentation. Identify and mitigate project risks or delays. Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, and clients to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships. Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example in all field operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in civil construction management or a related supervisory role. Proven experience managing earthworks, roads, aggregate crushing or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, or similar). Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
