Join us.AECOM Calgary is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Remediation to support our Canadian Remediation team. We are looking for a technically proficient, enthusiastic individual. Our ideal candidate has the people skills to grow and mentor staff and the technical experience to support clients in a \xe2\x80\x9ctrusted-advisor\xe2\x80\x9d capacity. This is a Full-time role.Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.
  • Managing and overseeing complex, large-scale, multi-disciplinary remediation projects including soil treatment, liner construction, municipal solid waste processing and management.
  • Providing senior technical expertise to junior and intermediate field staff in support of soil and groundwater remediation management.
  • Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
  • Developing and managing client-facing relationships, and relationships with stakeholders, landowners, and contractors.
  • Developing strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.
  • Communicating regularly with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Chemical, Environmental, etc.) or sciences: (Environmental etc.)
  • 6+ years consulting experience leading remedial construction projects
  • Valid Driver\'s License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer, Geologist or Agrologist registered in Alberta.
  • Ideally 10-15 years of consulting and/or industry experience.
  • Experience with cost estimation and subcontractor management, including contract management and administration.
  • Experience with Alberta\'s Contaminated Sites Policy Framework.
  • Experience with site assessment, regulatory and environmental compliance, geological and hydrogeological evaluation, conceptual site model development and risk assessment.
  • Proven track record with regulatory advocacy and obtaining site closure.
  • Ability to apply environmental quality guidelines to data collected from various media and land uses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
