Principal Project - to direct a 16,200 sq. ft. expansion of an industrial building featuring a cafeteria, employee commons and manufacturing space.Secondary Project - directing re-work of office environments, common spaces and the completion of a utility structure at our modern 75,000 sq. ft. facility.Adamson Builders is a construction firm that provides construction and maintenance services to Adamson Systems Engineering, a manufacturer in Port Perry, Ontario. Having previously undertaken several projects to construct large industrial buildings and expansions, the current project is now underway to expand again.An excellent project rate and a completion bonus are part of the package. • Senior management collaboration to define project scope, deliverables, and goals
• Project plan definition
• Planning and Design management and documentation with consultant teams
• Budget and construction schedule preparation
• Project expectations coordination with all stakeholders.
• Key issue identification - impacts on construction cost and schedule
• Scope of work changes - devise contingency plans and report on project adjustments and changes
• Project status communication to team members and stakeholders
• Site management coordination - staff, subcontractors and vendors through project completion, commissioning, and occupancy.
• Project close out and lessons learned documentation.
• Document and File projects in accordance with best practices, procedures, and internal reporting requirements.
• Negotiate contracts/contract revisions with general contractors or trade contractors.
• Report preparation as needed

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of progressive construction experience.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
• Able to read and interpret engineering building drawings
• Valid G driver's license with access to vehicle.
