DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting the Construction Manager with the following: ? Planning and scheduling of projects with Construction Manager following the instructions from Director of Construction and Projects. ? Working with Construction Manager to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and staff training is current. ? Completion of construction and renovation projects at various properties. ? Overseeing labor crew as necessary including task assignment and QC checks. ? Representing the construction department during project management meetings in the absence of the Construction Manager. ? Prioritising tasks, planning materials, scheduling travel and supervising the construction department labor crew. ? Preforming construction tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion. ? Working with Maintenance department staff as required. ? Providing training to labor for various tasks to help increase the productivity of the construction department. ? Helping to train maintenance department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assists in repairs as needed. ? Assisting GM / Owner / Department heads on project status and inspection reports. ? Ensuring personal availability for any emergencies and act in a construction capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. ? Ensuring operations and team are OHS/AHS compliant. ? Ensuring company grooming/uniform policies are followed. ? Maintaining tools and equipment needed for construction projects. ? Maintaining company culture and safe work environment. ? Maximizing Construction team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employee and owner?s satisfaction. ? Complying with company mission and standards in performance of construction activities. ? Responding to property Management questions and addressing any issues or complaints while maintaining a professional demeanor. ? Work with each hotel Maintenance Department as needed to update and maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel and staff accommodations including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc. ? Reporting any deficiency noticed in any equipment related to HVAC, pool water treatment, life safety etc. ? Ensuring proper records are kept relating to all building and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records. ? Preparing daily LEM sheets for Construction Management. ? Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the worksite and construction tools, equipment and vehicles. ? Preform daily pre operation inspection checklists of all equipment and vehicles used and file in shop. ? Operate all site vehicles in a safe manner following the INN Hotels vehicle use policy. ? Performing weekly project inspections and organizing documentation. ? Ensuring property, grounds and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment and conditions are to company standard. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits:
