Overview

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to help take charge of exciting construction projects, help lead a skilled team and help us deliver exceptional results. This position requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and ownership.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of daily activities of construction teams to ensure project timelines are met. Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to guide construction efforts. Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in budgeting and estimating project costs to ensure financial objectives are met. Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with foreman to address any issues that arise during construction phases. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on-site.

Skills

Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and ownership. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding site plans for effective project execution. Operate machines such as Skid Steers, Mini Excavators, and Dingos Experience with time management to work with Foreman and Project Manager to keep sites efficient Familiarity with quality control processes to uphold industry standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
