Nortek Exteriors Ltd. is hiring! We are looking for three (3) full-time, construction labourers (NOC 7611) to join our team. Our office is located in beautiful Victoria BC with job sites located in and around the Greater Victoria area up to Nanaimo and including the Gulf islands. The role of construction labourer is required to perform the following duties: 1. Assist roofers in construction activities 2. Setup scaffolding, catwalks, and secure the perimeter of the construction site 3. Direct traffic at or near construction site 4. Clean up materials at job site 5. Use of hand and power tools for general construction 6. Work on sloped and flat roof surfaces 7. Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas 8. Assist in demolishing buildings, such as removal of shingles, tar and gravel and all types of roofing materials, using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials 9. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment Requirements: The candidate must have: - Some construction experience is preferred, but not required - Able to communicate in English - Strong work ethic and positive attitude - Ability to work well in a team environment - Feeling comfortable working at heights - Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license considered an asset Location: Head office at 1490 Kangaroo Road, Victoria, B.C.
