Job Overview

The Building Labourer is a skilled construction professional who is responsible for supporting the construction and assembly of various outbuilding structures. This position includes a range of responsibilities associated with outbuilding construction, such as site preparation, material handling, framing, metal cladding, and finishing. The labourer operates under the guidance of a barn builder or construction project manager, following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary diploma or trade certification is an asset. Prior experience in construction or carpentry is beneficial. Opportunities for on-the-job training may be offered. Basic knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials is preferred. Ability to engage in manual labour for prolonged durations, including the lifting of heavy items, ascending ladders, and operating in varied weather conditions.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices within the construction sector. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with other construction team members. Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
WORK CONDITIONS

This is a full-time role based at our headquarters in Dunnville, requiring approximately 40 to 45 hours of work each week. During peak periods or special projects, there may be a need for occasional overtime. Frequent travel to various job sites required
