Job Description

Construction Labourer \xe2\x80\x93 Atlantic Road Construction and Paving Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire energetic, hard-working Labourers to join our growing team in the HRM area.
Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Valid class 5 drivers licence and/or reliable transportation to and from various worksites in the HRM.
• Previous experience as a labourer, general construction labour, or pipe labourer considered and asset.

• Thoroughly inspect tools and equipment daily.
• Participate in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings every morning.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foremen.
• Loading and unloading construction materials.
• Perform a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
• Possibility of working in confined spaces such as trenches, manholes, etc.
• Other various construction related activities as instructed

• Starting rate of $18-$20 per hour.
