Responsibilities



Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials to ensure smooth workflow. Carry out manual tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving heavy materials safely and efficiently. Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials promptly. Maintain a clean and organized job site by disposing of waste properly and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Operate basic construction equipment under supervision, including hand tools, wheelbarrows, and small machinery. Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas as needed. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to supervisors to maintain a secure work environment.

Requirements



Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills on the job. Basic understanding of construction site safety practices; previous experience is a plus but not required. Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team. Reliable transportation to arrive on-site promptly each day. Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in construction or manual labor roles, familiarity with basic tools and equipment, and certifications such as OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour training courses.
