Position Summary:
The box installer, working in pairs, travel to different client locations throughout Southern Ontario, prep the site and install Curtis manufactured refrigeration panels to create the walk in cooler or freezer.

Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm - Weekly overtime required
Location: Stoney Creek

Responsibilities:
Consult with customers, architects and engineers regarding plans and specifications.
Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
Perform carpentry or other trade work during installation when needed.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Position, join, align, and caulk in components.
Keep a daily log of tasks.
Requests material required to complete the job.
Construct door and window frames, hang doors and mount hardware from rough schematics and blueprints.
Perform other related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is not required and the work does not exceed own limitations.
Understand and comply with all Policies and Procedures.
Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where installation work will be performed.
Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, rough sketches, and specifications to determine work activities
Help assist in the Stoney Creek manufacturing facility when requested
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
One year of experience as an Installer, or in similar construction related field.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Time management skills.
Must possess a valid G class driver's license.
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various renovation processes.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
Ability to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision.
