We are looking for a Construction Inspector/Surveyor to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in Saskatchewan. You will work closely with our local team of professionals in the delivery of projects for various public and private-sector clients.Primary Responsibilities
Provide construction administration services including construction contractor management, quantity tracking and verification, site inspections, quality assurance (QA) and construction site supervision
Execute field surveys including preliminary topographic surveys, slope staking / construction layout and quantity surveys using GPS survey equipment
Prepare and maintain client-specified construction records, and preparation of as-built drawings
Assist and prepare stakeout information for use in the field, such as corridors, alignment, linework, points and surfaces
Assist project engineers and technologists in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methods
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project cost estimates, and interpret construction contract specifications.
Profile
Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
Knowledge / experience in interpreting construction drawings and construction layout
Knowledge / experience with GPS / total station / 3D scanning survey equipment and processes
Interest or experience in urban roadway and highway construction
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Drone Pilot Certificate - Advanced Operations, as issued by Transport Canada preferred, but not required
