Tasks

Load, unload and transport construction materials Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting Perform pre-operational inspection Read blueprints to determine work requirements Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs Level earth to fine grade specifications Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings Pave and rake asphalt Assist in demolishing buildings Clean and pile salvaged materials Perform routine maintenance work Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites Repair cracks and holes Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted Mix paint to desired colour and texture Estimate costs and materials Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English * Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week
