Job Description

We are seeking a

working foreman

with hands-on experience in

demolition

and either

hazardous material abatement

or

carpentry

. The successful candidate will lead small to medium sized crews, ensuring productivity, and professionalism on job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and work alongside crews on demolition and/or abatement or carpentry projects. Interpret plans and scopes of work. Maintain job site safety and ensure all workers follow regulations. Coordinate daily tasks, monitor crew productivity, and report progress to project managers. Communicate with site supervisors, clients, and safety representatives. Track materials, hours, and job completion milestones.

Requirements

3+ years experience in construction demolition projects. 1+ year of experience in either abatement (hazmat) or structural carpentry. Previous experience leading crews or acting as lead hand. Strong knowledge of safety standards (fall protection, asbestos awareness, confined space entry) Valid NB Class 5 Drivers License, and reliable transportation. Ability to complete job site reports and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

3-Day asbestos management certification Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, First Aid Training, WHMIS. Experience in concrete cutting, saws, and heavy-duty tools.
