We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team on a freelance, commission-based basis.

Role Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and professional renovation estimates. This role involves site visits, gathering measurements and project details, communicating with clients, and preparing proposals that reflect both scope and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and project details. Review drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for renovation projects. Communicate with clients to clarify project scope and answer questions. Collaborate with the contracting team to ensure estimates align with timelines and budgets. Provide timely turnaround of quotes and proposals. Maintain professionalism and represent JG Contracting positively on all client interactions.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in estimating for residential and/or light commercial renovations. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Reliable transportation for site visits. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Compensation:

This is a freelance/subcontractor position on a commission-only basis. Compensation is tied directly to successfully secured projects.
