We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project management skills. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while meeting quality standards.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids.
Build relationships with vendors and subcontractors to enhance the estimating process.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide updates as necessary.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review regarding estimated costs and project budgets.
Experience
Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
