Position Overview

We are seeking a

Construction Estimator

with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for custom homes, renovations, site servicing, landscaping, and general contracting projects. This is an in-office position, working closely with our internal project management and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates. Perform quantity take-offs for all trades and scopes of work. Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy. Develop detailed budgets, cash flow projections, and bid submissions. Collaborate internally with project managers and leadership on cost planning and value engineering. Maintain and update cost databases and historical project pricing. Support tendering processes for both residential and site servicing/landscaping projects.

Qualifications

3-5 years of construction estimating experience (residential, ICI, or civil). Proficiency in

Bluebeam

for take-offs (experience with Excel and other estimating tools an asset). Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and trade scopes. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and GTA construction pricing is considered an asset. Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required.

Compensation

Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Opportunities for career growth by working across two sister companies (custom home building + civil/landscaping/general contracting). Stable, long-term role with exposure to a wide range of projects.
