YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:



Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, Underground Operations, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Achieve the goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and protecting the environment. Prepare construction drawings based on engineering criteria for standard infrastructure. Liaise with consultants to coordinate engineering design or quality control testing where it cannot be completed internally. Support procurement of construction materials in collaboration with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of materials. Perform quality assurance and quality control on all materials and construction to demonstrate compliance to the original design. Complete as-built drawings/documentation as records of construction. Development cost estimates and construction schedules for projects in collaboration with the Short-Range Planning Engineer to integrate construction work into the short-range plan. Monitor expenditures and progress to ensure on time and on budget delivery of projects. Provide field support during project construction including acting as the client representative for construction completed by contractors. Work collaboratively with long and medium-term mine planning engineers providing input to two and five-year plans. Lead or support other construction activities as outlined by the Engineering Superintendent.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering, or equivalent, with eligibility for P.Eng registration with the PEO; 3-5 years' experience in the mining or construction industries with 2 years' experience in underground mining; Familiar with a CAD based design software. Experience with Deswik considered an asset.

Your Work Schedule:



Schedule: 4/3 (Monday to Thursday) schedule at our Detour Lake Mine; A 7/7 schedule may be available in the future. Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
