Job Description

Reporting to the Power Distribution Electrical Supervisor, you will be part of the Site Services and Infrastructure Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Compliance with and promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System;
Estimate requirements to complete jobs;
Construction, installation and modification of electrical systems;
Read specifications and drawings;
Knowledge and use of various electrical tools;
Motor control logic and MCC (600V), DC motor control (static drive) and AC drives;
Basic instrumentation troubleshooting;
PLC logic and troubleshooting activities as required;
Maintain equipment rated for 24 volt to 13.8KV;
Maintaining electrical transformers, generators, variable frequency drives, motors, lighting, and medium to high voltage distribution, substations and control systems;
Assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications
Ontario provincial or inter-provincial (Red Seal) Electrical trade certificate;
Experience in a construction working environment;
Two years practical work experience within the mining sector;
Ability to work and be exposed to the elements (Working at heights and outdoor working environment);
Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
Good work ethic and strong attitude towards safety.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
