Construction Director - Data Centers
The Construction Director oversees the planning, design, and execution of large-scale construction projects across manufacturing plants, laboratories, clean rooms, and corporate facilities. This leadership role ensures all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and compliance. With 7-10 years of progressive experience, the Construction Director drives infrastructure growth and operational excellence across both Canadian and U.S. operations.

Responsibilities of the Construction Director:
Oversee all phases of construction, from site selection and permitting to design, budgeting, execution, and commissioning.
Develop and implement project execution strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives and local regulations.
Lead coordination with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and municipal authorities in multiple jurisdictions.
Manage RFP and bid processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-value project delivery.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risks to ensure adherence to financial and operational targets.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. safety, environmental, and building code standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-Operations, Facilities, Manufacturing, EHS, and Finance-to align construction initiatives with organizational strategy.
Report project milestones, risks, and capital investment recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications for the Construction Director:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree or PMP certification is an asset.
7-10 years of experience in construction project management, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in managing large-scale industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech facility projects.
In-depth understanding of Quebec construction laws, permitting processes, and building codes, with familiarity across U.S. regulations.
Strong expertise in contract negotiation, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
Ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual proficiency in English and French preferred.
Proficiency with project management and enterprise reporting software.
