Overview

ESW Building Services Inc. is looking for a

Construction Cost & Project Estimator

to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely estimates across a wide range of construction projects. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in working with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Use software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to build pricing models and proposals. Review project plans and specifications to identify risks, gaps, or discrepancies. Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather requirements and align estimates with project goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. Negotiate terms and review bids for accuracy and value. Keep organized records of estimates, revisions, and communications throughout the bidding process. Assist with project schedules and timelines when required. Participate in project meetings to provide estimate updates and support decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related role. Proficiency with estimating software (HeavyBid, Bluebeam preferred). Strong negotiation and communication skills with vendors, subcontractors, and teams. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines. Familiarity with project management practices is an asset. Construction or engineering background preferred but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
